FEATURE: MOLD
Building envelope failures are not uncommon in today’s buildings. Water intrusion and sometimes resultant mold are too often the beginning of signs of deterioration of building components. Identification of the problem source is the first step to resolution. Often times the source is not fully investigated before the fix is initiated; only to return again later.

Water intrusion is one of our specialties, as it is a leading indicator of construction defects. Many of our cases begin with water intrusion and mold and end up with multiple defects. In addition to identification of construction defects cause and effect, we prepare detailed reports including identification, remedies and cost of repair.
We are currently providing estimates to replace fire destroyed dwellings in San Diego, San Bernardino and Lake Tahoe. We have estimated the cost to replace totally destroyed dwellings throughout California for more than 200 homes over the past 5 years.
We inspect dwellings in relation to duties to disclose material facts in real estate cases, in which we identify the cost to repair defects and analyze and opine on sellers’ duties to disclose material facts and/or agents’ duties to disclose and appropriate actions as fiduciaries.
